Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1664 XVI, second bust variety right, with 'crooked' ties, rev. on a rotated die axis, crowned second shields cruciform, interlocking cyphers in angles, edge lettered upwards, 29.62g, 4h (Bull 363a/362 [L-K/2]; ESC 28; Spink 3355), some adjustment marks in third quarter, otherwise nicely toned, a pleasingly good fine, a most curious hybrid of Bull's classifications, presumably rare thus.
