Charles II (1660-1685), Halfcrown, 1670 VICESIMO SECVNDO, V over S in CAROLVS [?], R over A in GRATIA [?], third laureate and draped bust right, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, edge lettered upwards, 14.41g, 5h (Bull 456 [R3]; ESC -; Spink 3365), stubble rash and surface marks, the legend errors otherwise discernible, fine, and a most unusual metal detecting find.
