Charles II (1660-1685), Halfcrown, 1679 'PRICESIMO PRIMO', [T over P in TRICESIMO], fourth laureate and draped bust right, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, edge lettered upwards, 14.67g, 6h (Bull 487 [R3]; ESC -; Spink 3365), scratched and porous, the edge error otherwise clear, about fine, and a most unusual metal detecting find.
