The L'Abbaye Collection | William III (1694-1702), York, Shilling, 1697 y [in script], first bust, with ties, rev. four strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 5.90g, 7h (Bull 1196; ESC 1100; Spink 3502), heavily scratched in reverse fields and flaw by French shield and on cheek, otherwise attractively toned, a bolder very fine, and with a pleasing pedigree.
