The L'Abbaye Collection | William III (1694-1702), 'Roses' Shilling, 1699, fifth bust, rev. stop after HIB, five strings to harp, seven billets, small lions, roses in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6.02g, 6h (Bull 1148 [R3]; ESC 1120; Spink 3518), rubbed with brighter surfaces and light flecking, otherwise almost very fine and very rare, significantly underappreciated in the standard references.
