The L'Abbaye Collection | George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1717, first bust, larger lettering on obverse, rev. eight strings to harp, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6.03g, 6h (Bull 1565; ESC 1164; Pywell-Phillips 269 ~ eight strings not recorded; Spink 3645), possibly from a mount with brighter surfaces, patchy toning and a dig on nose, otherwise quite bold for type, very fine, scarce.
