The L'Abbaye Collection | George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1736, young head, large lettering, rev. eight strings to harp, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 5.97g, 6h (Bull 1709; ESC 1199; Pywell-Phillips 336; Spink 3700), attractively toned especially to reverse with vibrant flares of neon blue, a pleasingly good very fine.
