Anglo-Saxon England, Primary Phase (c. 680-710), Series BI/BX Mule, Sceat, double diademed bust right, ourobouros surrounds, mouth at 7 o'clock, rev. bird atop cross on step left, flanked by three annulets, crosses in vestigial legends, 1.19g, 11h (BMC Type 26-27; Abramson -; North 126/124; Spink 777/776), an unusual variety with the reversed bird and crosses in legend, a really good very fine, presumably very rare.
