A miscellaneous group of financial ephemera, comprising a Commerz-und Privat Bank cheque with purple handstamp 'PAYMENT WITHHELD UNDER TRADING WITH THE ACCOUNT ACT.', dated September 1st 1939, a Barclays cheque for the Society for promoting Christial knowledge dated 1907, a circular credit note dated 1904 from Coutts & Co., a payment receipt dated 1771 for part payment in the subscription for 'the Navigation of the river Calder...', an unissued Fox Brothers 1/- voucher, a cheque dated 1770 for Bolderse, Barnston and Snaith, a receipt for £10 dated 1690, a Bank of England Power of attorney letter dated 1866 and a Debenture dated 1705 for Fitzharding, generally in most presentable grade, the first item most unusual ( 9).
