Julia Mamaea. ; Julia Mamaea; Anazarbus, Cilicia, probably Year 248 = 229/30 AD, AE 23-23.5, 9.72g. Cf. Ziegler-508-513 (same obv. die, but our coin is from a new, seventh, rev. die, with variations in legend placement and abbreviation). Obv: IOV.MA - MEA CEB Bust draped r. wearing stephane, crescent behind shoulders. Rx: Temple façade with eleven columns, + in pediment, ANAZ to l., EN?o to r., MHT(ligate)Po in exergue, B - G in field above temple. Possibly with date ET HMC (248) squeezed in before MHTPo in exergue; the other six reverse dies of this issue all bear that date. EF
