More famous for his death than for his life, he was executed on charges of aiding Britain and plotting against France however, he was not guilty of these offenses. The bronze medal by Edouard Gatteaux is intricate and simple in design. The bust of The Duke of Enghien left/ war horse without its solider with the words "periit hero" or "lost hero".
