Theodosius I. A.D. 379-395. AE 4 (19.5 mm, 2.06 g, 5 h). Constantinople mint, struck A.D. 378-383. D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius I right / CONCORDIA AVGGG, Constantinopolis, helmeted, seated facing, head right, holding spear and globe, right foot on prow, o in left field; CONSΔ in exergue. RIC 57a var. (Gratian); LRBC 1580. VF, black patina with earthen highlights. Very Rare.

This type is known for both Gratian and Valentinain II, but not for Theodosius I. There is one other of this type recorded at ACSearch sold by Savoca, incorrectly attributed to RIC 57d.2, but it is actually another example of this type.
