Entitled to British War Medal 1914-18.

Together with NSW Railway Ambulance Efficiency Medal 1941 inscribed to J.S.Marland Efficient 1941; (Odd Fellows medal to father of John Stanley Marland) MUIOOF (Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows) No 94, Loyal Star of Pyrmont, medal in 9ct gold inscribed on reverse, 'Presented to/P.D.G. J.S.Marland/For/Services Rendered/as/Financial Secty/1881-1920.'

John Stanley Marland, born 22Feb1897 at Summer Hill, Sydney, NSW; Enl.19Oct1912 for 7 years, to Tingira as Boy 2nd Cl; to Boy 1st Cl 09Aug1913; to HMAS Sydney 15Oct1913 and Ord Seaman II 23Apr1914, Ord Seaman 22Feb1915 and AB 09Sep1915; then various other ship postings including Sydney 22Feb-20Sep1917 and 19Jun-20Jul1920, Anzac 27Apr-18Jun1920, 22Apr-05Oct1921 and return to Tingira 22Dec1921 to 28Feb1922; later worked as an electrical mechanic; Died 24Feb1956.
