GEORGE III, vellum document (approx 41.5x27cm), for the appointment of Howard Elphinstone to the army at the rank of Second Lieutenant, signed by George III in the top left "George R", seal on the left hand side. Creases due to folding and small hole present, but otherise nearly fine.
