ATTICA, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.72 grams), issued 168-7 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 136-5 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, to left club lion skin and bow in case, legend across A YE, HRA ARI STO, EXE, HP below, H on amphora, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, cf.Thompson 336 same obverse die). Bright, extremely fine and very rare, the letters HP below unknown for these other letter combinations.
