SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochos VI Dionysos, (144-142 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (16.66 g), Antioch on the Orontes mint, dated SE 170 = 143/2 B.C., obv. radiate and diademed head to right, within a filleted border, rev. the Dioskouroi holding reins and couched lances, on horses rearing left; above **BASILEWS* / ANTIOXOY, below **EPIFANOUS/ DIONUSOU*, to right TPY above monogram above XP, below **STA*, OP (date) below; all within wreath of laurel, ivy, and grain ears, (S.7072, SC 2000.3d, DCA 178, HGC 9, 1032). Superb lightly toned with traces of red patination, as struck good extremely fine and very rare in this condition.
