SICILY, Uncertain Punic mint. First Punic War. Circa 264-241 BC. Electrotype "5 Shekels – Dekadrachm" (38mm, 41.30 g, 12h). Unmarked Berlin Museum electrotype. Head of Tanit left, wearing wreath of grain ears and single-pendant earring / Pegasos flying right; Punic B'RŠT (= "In the land") below. Cf. Head, Guide, Period V.C., 35; cf. Jenkins pl. 18, 441 (for prototype). Toned, scratches, otherwise as made.
