Diademed head of Apollo to right, III•VIR behind, star below, Q•SICINIVS before / Club of Hercules surmounted by lion skin between arrow and bow; PR•S•C upwards to left, C•COPONIVS downwards to right. Crawford 444/1a; CRI 3; RSC Sicinia 2. 3.87g, 18mm, 4h.
Near Mint State; somewhat off-centre strike, attractive iridescent toning.

Struck by Sicinius for the use of the fleet commanded by Coponius in the East, which was in support of Pompey, the formula S.C. was added to give the appearance of the coins being issued under Senatorial authority.
