SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Vrahran) V. AD. 420-438. Æ (1.50 gm; 13 mm). Bust of Bahram turning right with monogram of a dot and crescent with two flowing ribbons, reverse fire altar with attendants. The 2 flowing ribbons and crescent symbolizes the Goddess Anahit's dual nature of being Goddess of water/fertility and moon. Lovely strike on a nice full compact flan. Beautiful original brown-reddish patina. Choice EF. Extremely rare.
