ISLAMIC ANTIQUE SEALS. Brass Seal with Silver handle (7.68 gm; 16mm x 11mm x 27mm). Persia-Qajar period: Name written in Farsi (Persian) in "Nastaliq" calligraphic style "Zeynalabedin Sadr-al-Waezin" date 1337 AH (1918-1919 AD)-Date coincides with the reign of the last Qajar Monarch, Sultan Ahmad Shah (1909-1925 AD). The name "Sadr-al-Waezin" (Arabic title) meaning "Chief religious leader in charge of sermons" could only be given to someone by the Shahs or Sultans or high ranking religious leaders such as Ayatollahs. Ornate silver flower design on the body. Excellent condition.
