SICILY. Katane. Circa 210-200 BC. AE (Bronze, 30 mm, 10.26 g, 11 h). Janiform head of Zeus-Serapis wearing kalathos; to left, two monograms; to right, monogram. Rev. KATA-NAIΩN Demeter standing front, head to left, holding grain ears in her right hand and long torch in her left. CNS III 14. HGC 2, 619. SNG ANS 1303. A lovely example with a very attractive green patina. Minor smoothing, otherwise, good very fine.
