SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.20 g, 1 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, 109-96. Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right. Rev. [BA]ΣIΛE[ΩΣ] / ANTIOXOY - EΠIΦANOYΣ Zeus seated left, holding Nike in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram of PE above A; below throne, monogram; all within laurel wreath. SC 2309.2d. A very sharp and attractive piece. Die break on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
