ARABIA, Northwestern. Lihyan. Circa 450-300 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 16.33 g, 9 h), imitating Athens. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. AΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Huth -, cf. 39 (cruder style). Extremely rare and unusual. Struck on an oval flan and harsly cleaned, otherwise, very fine.
