EARLY SKYTHIANS, Imitating Eukratides I of Baktria. Late 2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 4.00 g, 11 h). Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides I to right, wearing crested Macedonian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOΥ / EΥKΡATIΔOY he Dioskouri galloping to right, each holding spear and palm branch; to lower right, Φ. Cf. CNG E-Auction 272 (2012), 181 (slightly cruder style). Harshly cleaned, otherwise, good very fine.
