CRETE. Koinon of Crete. Trajan, 98-117. AE (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 12.54 g, 5 h). ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤⲰΡ ΑΥΓ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟϹ ΓΕΡ ΔΑΚΙ Laureate bust of Trajan to left, with slight drapery on his right shoulder. Rev. ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΚΡΗΤⲰΝ Dionysos standing front, head to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and thyrsos in his left; at feet to left, panther seated left, head right. BMC 19-20. RPC III 29. Somewhat smoothed and with light adjustment marks, otherwise, very fine.
