ASIA MINOR. Uncertain. 2nd-3rd centuries. Tessera (Lead, 14 mm, 2.74 g). ΠΦ Nereid riding hippocamp to the right, raising her veil behind her head; dolphin swimming below. Rev. Blank. Rostovtsev, Римские свинцовые тессеры (1903), 70. Münzzentrum Rheinland 124, 370 ("nude hero holding weapons"). A nicely preserved tessera with an interesting mythological scene. Good very fine.
