THRACE. Maroneia. Circa 386/5-348/7 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 11.00 g, 10 h), Choregos, magistrate. Bridled horse springing to left, with trailing rein. Rev. EΠI XOP-HΓ-Ο around linear square containing grape vine with four bunches of grapes; to upper left, fly; all within shallow incuse square. Boston MFA 813. Schönert-Geiss 440 (V16/R26). West 116. Harshly cleaned and with some minor scratches, otherwise, very fine.
