ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Subaeratus, 23 mm, 6.85 g), a contemporary plated imitation from an irregular mint. Nude ithyphallic satyr, with long beard and long hair, moving right in 'running-kneeling' position, holding a nymph in his arms, who raises her right hand in protest. Rev.
