Caracalla, 198-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 23 mm, 5.31 g, 12 h), Rome, 215-217. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate and draped bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. VENVS VICTRIX Venus standing front, head to left, holding Victory in her right hand, scepter in her left and resting her left elbow on shield set on helmet. BMC 80. Cohen -. RIC 311d. A very attractive example with a beautiful portrait. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
