KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.18 g, 11 h), in the types of Alexander, Teos, circa 301/0-300/299. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕ[ΩΣ] - [ΛΥΣΙ]ΜΑΧ[ΟY] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, griffin seated left above monogram. Müller 35. Price L40. Thompson 131. Nicely toned. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, very fine.
