Miliaresion (Subaeratus, 22 mm, 2.35 g, 12 h), a contemporary plated imitation of a miliaresion from Constantinopolis. +IҺSЧS XRISTЧS ҺICA✷ Cross crosslet set upon globe above two steps; in central medallion, crowned facing bust of John I with I/ω - A/N to left and right. Rev. +IⲰAҺҺ / ЄҺ XⲰ AVTO/CRAT ЄVSЄb / bASILЄVS / RⲰMAIⲰ in five lines. Cf. DOC 7 and SB 1792 (for prototype). Double struck and with some breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
