KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.23 g, 7 h), Lampsakos, struck under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, 320-301. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔP[OY] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, KI; below throne, N within circle. Price 1401. Fresh and of bold style. Very minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
