ISLAMIC, Mamluks. al-Zahir Rukn al-Din Baybars I, AH 658-676 / AD 1260-1277. Dirham (Silver, 23 mm, 2.89 g, 2 h), citing Baybars I and the Abbasid caliph al-Mustansir, without mint and date. Balog, Mamluk, 42. Very rare and beautifully toned. Struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
