KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.24 g, 12 h), Kolophon, struck by Antigonos Monophthalmos, circa 318-310. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [AΛ]EΞANΔ[POY] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram of ΣΩ; below throne, monogram. Price 1792. Light scratches on the obverse and with minor marks on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
