KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.15 g, 12 h), Erythrai, circa 290-275. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram; to inner right, •; below throne, monogram of ΣΕ. Price 1894A var. (club in left field). Light scratches and the obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
