Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress; on cheek, countermark of akanthos flower within oblong incuse. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, kerykeion; below throne, monogram of ΑΡ. Price 3332. A lovely coin with an interesting countermark. Some doubling on the reverse and a light scratch on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
