THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 365-356 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 6.08 g, 12 h). Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly to left, wearing ampyx, pendant earring and necklace. Rev. ΛΑΡ[ΙΣ]-ΑΙΩΝ Bridled horse standing left, preparing to roll over; below, plant to which the horse's rein is tied. BCD Thessaly II 288. HGC 4, 452. Beautifully toned. Minor deposits on the obverse and with a die break and a graffito of ΦΙΛ on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
