EUBOIA. Histiaia. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 14 mm, 2.45 g, 10 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, wearing wreath of grape leaves and berries. Rev. IΣTI- AIEΩN Nymph seated right on stern of galley, holding stylis in her left hand and resting her right on the deck; on the side of the stern, wing; below, ΣI and labrys. BCD Euboia 392. BMC 64. HGC 4, 1524. Beautifully toned and of lovely style. Minor doubling on the reverse and with faint scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
