ATTICA. Athens. Circa 455-449 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 17.20 g, 1 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. AΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Starr Group V.B. A beautiful coin of bold transitional style. Light pitting on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
