ATTICA. Athens. Circa 430s-420s BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 13x17 mm, 7.69 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. ΑΘ[E] Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Cf. CNG 97 (2014), 1(4d). Kroll 8. Svoronos, Monnaies, pl. 12 passim. Circa 2/3 of the flan cut off in antiquity to create 'Hacksilber' and with a test cut on the reverse, otherwise, about very fine.
