LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.79 g, 7 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to left; to left above leaf, pair of tongs; below leaf, [ΑΘΑ]. HN Italy 1583. Johnston Group C, 4.3. Harshly cleaned, otherwise, good very fine.
