ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.18 g, 11 h), Timarchos, Nikago... and Sosi..., magistrates, 134/3. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / TIM-APX / NIKA / ΣΩΣΙ Owl standing facing on amphora; to left, anchor; on amphora, Γ (?); all within laurel wreath. Thompson 369c. Very rare. Harshly cleaned, otherwise, good fine.
