Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / ΔΙΟ/ΤΙΜ/ΟΣ / ΜΑ/ΓΑΣ / ΧΑΡΙ/ΝΑΥ-ΤΗΣ Owl standing facing on amphora; on amphora, ΔΒ; in exergue, ΣO; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 656c. Harshly cleaned, otherwise, good very fine.
