CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Pantikapaion. Circa 470-460 BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.30 g). Facing head of a lion. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with pellets in two opposite quarters. Gorny & Mosch 147 (2006), 1216. HGC 7, 43. MacDonald 5/1. SNG BM Black Sea -. Darkly toned. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
