THESSALY, Thessalian League. Mid-late 1st century BC. AR Stater (24mm, 5.75 g, 12h). Petraios and Ptolemaios, magistrates. Head of Zeus right, wearing oak wreath / Athena Itonia advancing right, holding shield and preparing to hurl spear; ΠΕΤΡ-ΑΙΟV above, ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟ[Σ] in exergue. BCD Thessaly II 887.2; HGC 4, 210. Toned, hairline flan crack, some die wear on obverse. Good VF.
