REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, facing fasces surmounted by pileus; cornucopias flanking; in exergue, REPRÉSENTANT/ DU PEUPLE/ L'AN VII / CONSEIL DES ANCIENS, tablet inscribed CONSTITUTION/ DE L'AN TROIS set on level; all within ouroboros (serpent devouring its own tail). Edge: cornucopia and ARGENT. Hennin 885 (for original). Toned, some marks and edge bruises. EF.
