Isabel II silver Uniface Reverse Trial Strike 20 Reales ND (1855) MS65 NGC, Paris mint, KM-Unl., cf. Cal-pg. 513 (prev. pg. 772), cf. O'Connor-pg. 192 (R7). By Fernández Pescador. An elusive trial strike of an undated reverse design for an unadopted Pattern 20 Reales. Though the reverse die is not dated "185[x]" as noted on the holder insert, its previous pairing with the prior lot in this auction and its matching appearance and quality allows for an attribution to this incomplete date. Immensely sharp and lightly toned, with significant reflectivity displayed to the fields. The perfect companion piece to the obverse trial also offered in this auction, yet equally enticing as a standalone offering for the advanced Spanish series collector.
