Alfonso XII 5 Pesetas 1885 MS-M MS64 NGC, Madrid mint, KM688, Dav-341, Cal-60-63. A choice selection from this prolific 5 Pesetas series that finds itself technically finer than most of this final year of issue for Alfonso XIII. While the striking weakness to the rightmost star obscures the date struck, the coin at hand is bested by only two others for all varieties of this date and perhaps a touch conservatively graded, demonstrating visual characteristics more commonly associated with Gem Mint State levels of preservation.
