Charles III gold 8 Escudos 1787 So-DA AU53 NGC, Santiago mint, KM27, Cal-2176, Onza-948. An uncharacteristically resplendent presentation both for the type and the grade, the reverse in particular appearing nearly Mint State on account of a preponderance of die polish lines in the low-lying areas of the design, as well as a pervasive glassy finish throughout. A few small planchet flaws are noted around the reverse arms for the sake of accuracy, but are of little visual consequence on the whole.
