Charles III gold 8 Escudos 1779 NR-JJ MS61 NGC, Nuevo Reino mint, KM50.1, Cal-2108, Onza-878. A slightly scarcer date for the mint, particularly in this condition, with NGC having seen only four total specimens in this conditional tier to date. Ranking a full three points above the Eldorado example (an AU58), the offering contains a markedly sharp rendering of Charles III--a feature which is almost universally weakly struck in the series--together with a fine satin finish that fully secures its certification as recognized by NGC.
